How It Works
A UV-C light inside the unit reacts with a proprietary catalyst to produce low concentrations of airborne hydrogen peroxide and bipolar ions. As your AC blower cycles, those ions and hydrogen peroxide vapor get distributed throughout the home, where they neutralize airborne and surface contaminants in the rooms you actually live in.

The PIP MAX uses the same UV-C + catalyst process to generate low-level airborne hydrogen peroxide and ions, then disperses them into the room through built-in fans. It also includes automatic, self-cleaning bipolar ionizers, meaning you don’t have to wipe them down or maintain them.

How long does the install take?
About 1 to 2 hours for a standard residential HVAC system. We work cleanly around your home and the system is operational the same day.
Will the REME HALO work with my water-source heat pump (WSHP)?
In most cases, yes, as long as the WSHP has accessible supply ductwork. South Florida condos that use WSHPs often benefit the most from REME HALO because building cooling loops can spread odors and microbial growth from one unit to the next. We’ll confirm compatibility during your quote. UV coil lights are often not compatible with WSHPs, but REME HALO usually is.
How often does the REME Cell need replacement?
Every 2 to 3 years for both the REME HALO and PIP MAX. Both units include a countdown timer that gives you a visual indicator when replacement is due. For the HALO we can swap it during a routine HVAC maintenance visit.
Is PIP MAX effective for allergies and asthma?
It’s designed to help reduce airborne allergens including dust, dander, pollen, and mold spores in the room it’s running in. Many South Florida homeowners place a PIP MAX in the bedroom or home office for targeted relief, especially during heavy pollen seasons or after a humid stretch.
Do I need both REME HALO and PIP MAX?
No, they overlap. If you have ductwork and want whole-home coverage, REME HALO is the cleaner long-term solution. If you can’t (or don’t want to) modify the HVAC, PIP MAX gives you the same technology in a portable form. Some snowbird homeowners run a HALO at their primary home and a PIP MAX in the secondary residence.

Are these products safe? I’ve heard ozone-generating purifiers can be harmful.
That’s a fair concern. RGF’s REME Cell technology generates low-level airborne hydrogen peroxide and bipolar ions, not high concentrations of ozone. The hydrogen peroxide concentration produced is well below the levels found naturally outdoors. We would not install or sell these in our customers’ homes if they weren’t safe for families and pets.
What’s the warranty?
Both products come with RGF’s manufacturer warranty on the unit. Total Repair Pros adds our own labor warranty on the installation. If anything goes wrong with either the equipment or our install, you call us, one company, one number, no finger-pointing.
