For over 55 years, Total Appliance has been the trusted name in South Florida for reliable repairs and installations, and we’re proud to celebrate our 50th year of incorporation in Florida.
As we mark this milestone, we’re excited to introduce a slight name change—Total Repair Pros. This change reflects our expanded scope of services, which now go far beyond appliances alone.
Why the Name Change?
Our original name, Total Appliance, served us well at inception. Total Appliance & A/C Repairs, Inc. was originally founded to maintain snowbirds’ apartments along the coastline during the winter months. Our founder’s father (and our Vice President’s grandfather) was a technician who recognized a large influx of repair calls when part-time residents would migrate down south for the winter months. He had the idea to “cover” their appliances so they’d have one person to call and rely on when they returned to the sunny state.
The service contract provided two main benefits: peace of mind—knowing a reliable company would always be there—and affordability, as the cost of a contract was roughly equivalent to one or two repair calls.
55 Years of Services, a More Accurate Name...
As our offerings grew to include HVAC, plumbing, electrical repairs, and comprehensive service contracts for residential and commercial properties, we realized “appliance” no longer captured everything we do and may be misleading. We recognize that if people don’t know who we already are, they would probably see our name and think we simply repair (or sell) appliances.
With Total Repair Pros, our name now better represents our all-encompassing expertise—from AC repairs and water heater installations to electrical upgrades and full-service maintenance contracts.
